BRIGHTON, MI BATHROOM
A Hall Bath elevated
These Brighton homeowners wanted a refreshed second-floor hall bathroom that felt contemporary and well-made without changing the room's footprint. We removed the existing tub and surround, reframed and rebuilt the shower and tub area, installed new Wellborn cabinetry and Viatera quartz accents, updated plumbing and ventilation, and added recessed lighting throughout, delivering a brighter, more refined bath the household can use every day.

Project Summary
The Details Behind This Transformation
This Brighton bathroom sits on the second floor adjacent to newly installed hardwood, making dust control and containment a top priority throughout the build. Multi-layer floor and carpet protection, plastic containment, and HEPA filtration were installed before demolition began to protect the surrounding spaces. Demo went to studs and plaster, minor plumbing relocations were made for the tub and vanity, and a custom niche was framed before waterproofing and tile work began.
Long-lead items including Viatera quartz, cabinetry, and specialty tile were ordered early and templated ahead of schedule to avoid installation delays in a tight footprint. New drywall was carefully patched and blended into the existing plaster walls, and existing door and window trim were preserved throughout to maintain the character of the second-floor space. Two recessed LED fixtures were added alongside a new vanity light and Panasonic vent fan to complete the mechanical improvements before final fixtures, accessories, and punch list.
